We desire to recruit for the position of * Oracle DBA * At least 5 years of Dba experience. BASIC FUNCTION: Under general direction of manager and technical leadership of other experienced team members to perform database administration and management tasks including: database installation, configuration, logical and physical database design, database backup/restore, replication and parallel systems. Work with leads to create implementation designs and may be the head of a project team coordinating and overseeing the activities of other DBAs. Maintain and improve the performance of enterprise databases in both the transactional and inquiry only environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Install, maintain and troubleshoot relational databases and data replication processes. 2. Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required database maintenance activities. 3. Implement and maintain security administration for database environment. 4. Perform database object administration, change control and space management in the team members and other groups. 5. Implement database backup and recovery processes. 6. Perform database consistency checking, loading and unloading of data. 7. Oversee and perform database installation and configuration of database parameters including transaction logging, shared memory, etc. 8. Schedule and perform DBMS upgrades. 9. Establish access permissions for the database environment. 10. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database software inventory/library for all related support documentation and procedures. 11. Conduct software audits of the database products for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures. 12. Monitor and administer database performance, including storage, applications and network activity. 13. Develop documentation including operations manuals, procedures and problem resolution. 14. Escalate problems to senior technical team members and/or vendors in a timely fashion. 15. Develop techniques and implement resolution of problems based on root cause analysis. 16.
