This change process has created an exciting and challenging opportunity to manage a multidisciplinary area based team of professionals to deliver Council’s policies and legislative responsibilities in relation to health and building functions servicing one of the five geographic areas. With relevant degree level qualifications and demonstrated experience in managing a team in a complex environment, you will be responsible for managing operations to achieve Council’s objectives in relation to environmental and public health, building compliance, fire safety and licensed premises. Highly developed interpersonal and motivational skills are essential, as is the ability to effectively manage a range of stakeholders, and negotiate solutions to complex and sensitive matters.
