BB28120 Aurora, CO 80012 1 Year Data Distribution Lead Description The Data Distribution lead is responsible for managing the acquisition, transformation, storage and distribution of clinical data to end users from outside providers. This position will act as a liaison between the vendor and internal business customers. The Data Distribution lead will track and manage data moving into the gateway and from the gateway to Client including storage in a variety of repositories including data warehouses and application data store. This position will work closely with end users to understand reporting and analytic needs and will work with the data modeler to understand how the end user needs can be met with the data received by CLIENT. The Data Distribution lead will own all processes for data translation and storage for clinical data received from outside providers. As such, the Data Distribution lead will be responsible for designing and developing new processes where necessary for the appropriate acquisition and use of outside clinical data. Key Responsibilities: Gather and document requirements from internal CLIENT customers for data needed from outside organizations by working with regional analytic and reporting customers. Communicate requirements to the project team and work with the outside organizations to establish the data feeds via the gateway vendor as well as with internal staff to ensure delivery of the data into the appropriate repositories Assist in analysis and resolution of data discrepancies when expected results of CLIENT report users do not match expectations. This will require strong knowledge of SQL and understanding of support processes within an information management organization. The ability to work in a highly matrixed environment will be a key to success. Establish regular contact with key data user groups to ensure that the data being provided meets their expectations as well as HEDIS, Medicare 5 Star and other reporting requirements Develop and maintain an understanding of the data moving between CLIENTCO and the gateway vendor as well as other data exchanges between CLIENTCO and outside organizations. Develop a detailed expertise in this data domain within the various repositories into which it is delivered (including data warehouses, applications and flat files) and serve as subject matter expert to the internal CLIENTCO customers, as well as to the gateway vendor. Develop and maintain metadata related to the data received from outside entities so that data users have complete and accurate data dictionaries, sample queries, lineage and any other information required to properly use and interpret the data. Coordinate and facilitate new processes to assist the analytic and reporting teams in their usage of the data received from outside providers. Ensure that usage of outside data is consistent across internal customer groups. Develop and maintain a highly effective relationship with the gateway vendor moving the data between the organizations. Work with gateway vendor to establish processes for issue reporting, data quality research/remediation, change management communications, measurement/metrics around timeliness of data deliveries etc. Become the key CLIENTCO contact with this vendor with regard to ensuring services are met and customer needs are addressed. Act as a liaison between the vendor and the business customers. Work closely with CLIENT team to ensure they have the information they need about the data to proceed with data transfer implementation. For instance, making sure CLIENT API Engagement manager (liaison to outside organizations) has information about data needs of internal customers, or helping the data modeler understand the data relationships, reasonable values, etc. Perform activities related to data profiling and data mining to ensure the data being delivered is timely, complete and accurate. Develop and execute data quality checks to monitor data transfers proactively. Perform activities related to data quality issue research/remediation - establishing processes with internal customers and vendor, tracking data issues from initial identification to resolution, performing research defining requirements for resolution/remediation solutions. Integrate work with regional Data Quality processes developed as part of Business Intelligence Governance. Provide timely and detailed communications to data users about upcoming changes, identified problems/issues, changes to schedules, outages of data sources etc. Act as the data steward for the data coming from gateway vendor. (Refer to BI Data Steward definitions, roles and responsibilities for specific tasks/accountability) Prepare and publish status reports regarding the various aspects of data distribution management - providing metrics on services rendered by vendor, use of data by customers, issues reported and resolved Healthcare experience is required HL7 experience is highly desirable
