INVENTORY ANALYST / STOCK CONTROLLER – Major Blue Chip Company - £21,000 - £24,000 – 6 Month contract – URGENT Leicestershire A global blue chip organisation, is now seeking to appoint an experienced Inventory Analyst / Stock Controller to work within their Leicestershire based site. As a leading distributor within their field, they have market leading products, superior service and support a number of high profile businesses nationwide. Reporting into the Senior Team Manager and working as part of a team, you will have shared responsibility for maintaining a diverse and complex product range. Working at Head Office, on a day to day basis you duties will include: Extensive communication with vendors / suppliers, building relationships with key suppliers. Face to face meetings. Build relationships with all internal stakeholder teams including Procurement and Distribution. Liaise with the customer account managers to ensure shortest lead times possible on urgent stock orders. Manage stock suppliers through a variety of global suppliers ensuring supplier performance at all times. Initiate action plans for increasing customer satisfaction levels Optimize stock availability and reduce inventory for all Distribution Centres for the UK and Ireland whiles managing stock constraints across the supply chain. Maintaining control of company stock and inventory to ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time, based on commercial forecast, New Product Introduction and demand forecasts. Ensure that product availability targets are met through pro-active stock and inventory management. Maintain suggested daily stock order from customer forecast to maintain correct stock and inventory levels for all branches. · Provide Inventory/ Stock support on business initiatives, working with account managers, customer services and procurement teams, streamlining processes and reducing any financial liability to the company. Expedite orders through the stock system on a daily basis. Maintain product and stock pricing records to ensure accuracy of product stock information. Provide monthly reports to support key performance indicators. Continuous management and reduction of surplus and obsolescent stocks. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have the following: · 2 years + experience working within a similar inventory analyst /stock control / supply chain role. · Experience of working with suppliers, building relationships and resolving supply issues. · Strong analytical skills coupled with stock systems knowledge, candidates with SAP knowledge will be at a distinct advantage however not essential. · Candidates from a retail background will be ideal but not essential. · Able to be assertive when necessary. · Provide Inventory/Stock support on business initiatives, working with account managers, customer services and procurement teams. · Candidates that have worked within a large and complex range of products within a fast paced environment will be most suitable. · Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel. · PLEASE NOTE THIS VACANCY IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT INITIALLY.
