We have a vacancy for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a fixed term contract for 3 months working at our Leicester site.  To be suitable for this varied role, you will be a competent "hands on" person that can perform other tasks away from electrical works, for example, plumbing and carpentry tasks.  You will also need to have a 17th edition qualification. The Company:- Vinci Facilities delivers Total Facilities Management to a wide range of clients throughout the UK. We provide a range of services including Maintenance, Security, Cleaning, Reception, and Mailroom services. The Company is an Investor In People business and employs approx 600 people based across the UK. The Role:- The successful candidate will be working as part of a small team to deliver FM services to our client, this will include reactive and planned maintenance. The role is not restricted to just electrical works, it will include planned preventative maintenance of services like the fire detection system and responding to reactive job sheets as they arrive. This is a diverse position and so requires someone who can turn their hand to everything. Main Duties and Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities:       Complete the following planned preventative maintenance tasks and update their schedules accordingly, and manage the day to day running of:   ·                  BMS Management ·                  Catering Equipment ·                  Emergency Lighting ·                  External Lighting ·                  Fixed Electrical Testing ·                  HVAC Maintenance ·                  Lightning Protection ·                  Utility Meter Readings ·                  Fire Panel Maintenance ·                  Gas Suppression Systems (IT & Canteen) ·                  Calibration of test equipment ·                  Substation Maintenance ·                  RCD, emergency stops, MCB testing ·                  Frequency Converters   Shared PPM tasks:     Weekly Fire Alarm Tests                               Gritting as required         Respond to reactive jobs as they come in, in a timely manner ensuring TTR and TTC deadlines are met.        Sub-Contractor Management. Ensure that we are in receipt of a current and relevant risk assessment, method statement, COSHH risk assessments, valid insurances and training certificates etc. for each task to be carried out. See the FM or Team leader for help with any issues relating to the information received. Once on site and inducted ensure you complete a subcontractor questionnaire for all of your contractors on site.         Prior to starting any job on site ensure that you have read, understood, and updated where necessary the risk assessment associated with the task then sign and date the risk assessment. Where a new task is carried out complete a risk assessment and method statement for the work prior to work commencing. Ensure a copy of the risk and method statement is issued to the FM for inclusion on the risk assessment register.   Communicate with other members of the department regarding any site developments/changes etc.   Carry out any reasonable additional duties/tasks as requested by line Manager and assist other team members as required.   Continue to provide Building Maintenance assistance (within reason) on other sites within the locality.       Assist with office moves/conference room set ups as required.       Be “on call” out of hours for site emergencies (role currently shared with 3 x others) The Person:- It is essential that you have C&G Electrical Installations Parts 1 & 2, Inspection and Testing and 17th Edition.Through a minimum of 12 months work experience within a similar environment you will be a competent hands on person who can perform other tasks away from electrical works. i.e. basic plumbing & carpentry works. You will also be able to respond to a variety of requests from our customers on site.  You will be working as part of a team to deliver FM services to our client, this will include reactive and planned maintenance. The role is not restricted to just electrical works. This will include planned preventative maintenance tasks and responding to reactive job sheets as they arrive.   Be part of the “on-call” maintenance team for out of hours response to site issues, this is paid and is shared between other team members.  APPLY NOW Req.
