One of our Clients in Poole/Dorset is looking for a Operations Accountant for a six - nine month temporary contract. There is potential that this job could become permanent. Ideally you will be CIMA finalist or Qualified CIMA Accountant. Posses good attention to detail. You will have sound technical accountant skills and be of an anaylitical mindset. Able then to challenge, summarise and report on issues with clarity. Key tasks are as follows; Produce and report monthly site overheads vs Budget & Forecasts Produce a monthly full year forecast for site spend. Improve accuracy of forecasting processes. Work closely with all overhead Budget holders to control their overhead costs and identify possible savings. Produce and report on a weekly P&L position. Ad hoc business analysis and cost control. Ad hoc head office requests. Involvement in annual Budget and Year End Processes. Maintain and update group capital reporting system. Ensure fixed asset register accurately represents the physical assets of the business and reconciles to the GL & Hyperion. Drive improvements in invoice pass rates and query resolution. Knowledge of all Microsoft Packages, although good Excel skills are the main requirements. Knowledge of SAP would be very desirable. Experience of financial consolidations pack (Hyperion) would be an advantage. We are looking for someone to make an immediate start and become a crucial member of a successful accounting function.
