I require an experienced Bid Estimator to work at Heathrow for a large Building Services Integrator. The client is currently working on 2 large scale M+E projects which are scheduled to finish in 2013. Any Airport experience would be ideal but not essential. Ideally anyone who is an expert at Excel and can pull together a model with computation checks etc. A model is already in place but it�s not clear whether this will be used or a new model developed. This person will be supported by a technical team to feed the model and below is the scope of the position shall include, but may not be limited to:- � Lead the Estimating function for Siemens within the bid � Lead the project teams through pre-contract estimation phase, ensuring all scope and sufficient risk provision has been accounted. � Support and if required lead risk workshop to identify project related risk during the pre-contract phase. � Preparation of post contract valuations and variations � Develop and implement the estimation process and procedures across the bid area � Develop a baggage estimating database to support future project estimates Experience � Over 5 years estimation experience required � Good interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to tease information from the project teams. � Risk management experience with the ability to develop a three point cost estimate. � Understanding of the NEC3 suite of contracts.
