Unison Systems is looking for a seasoned Project Manager with experience leading R&D software development teams for a local 6 month contract opportunity. *****MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with R&D, Regulatory Industries, or Product Development**** Candidate will be responsible for planning and organizing schedules for multiple software projects and will also collaborate with the project sponsors and cross functional team members to develop schedules and sensure the team is achieving goals, meeting targets and fulfilling set expectations within a timeframe. Other Responsibilities will include: * Maintains basic knowledge of the businesses products and the therapies in which they are used * Maintains general knowledge of industry and clients regulatory and software standards and applies this knowledge to the completion of all projects * Anticipates and heads off problems that can jeopardize deadlines, budgets and user acceptance * Stays focused on the big picture and can prioritize competing responsibilities * Interacts with and influences a variety of stakeholders including their project teams and project sponsors. * Inspires confidence of stakeholders and cross functional team in the event the budget or timeline needs to be renegotiated or additional resources are needed to complete the project * Effectively uses e-mail, meetings and status reports to communicate ideas, get decisions made and resolve problems * Analyzes the impact of changes brought about by the project and how the change will affect the end-date for the project * Has schedule reviews to keep schedules current. Works for Software Director. * Forecasts, creates, maintains and meets project deadlines. Takes the initiative to report on project status; anticipates and alerts manager and internal customers of potential project difficulties/risks * Communicates effectively and successfully with people at all levels in speech, writing or presentations * Brings together cross functional teams in order to achieve the projects aims * Clearly communicates goals and set expectations and to effectively negotiate to ensure the success of the team and project * Ability to communicate openly and directly in providing status, requirements and milestones for the project * Maintains software schedules for multiple projects, identifies and logs risks * Helps to provide creative scheduling solutions to keep projects on track * Helps to level project workload for team without jeopardizing any one project * Monitors project timeline throughout project duration. Takes the initiative to alert manager of any potential schedule overruns. * Participates in department activities and contributes to a strong and fun teamwork environment * Performs other duties as required or assigned MUST HAVE: Solid experience in software industry, project management concepts and processes. Requires a minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in a project-management role, including experience in either a regulated or semi-regulated industry.
