We are currently looking for a Retail Category Executive to act as a key coordinator of products and services for in-flight retail customer airlines and their passengers. This role encompasses all aspects of product management from negotiating the supply of products and services for in-flight retail to meet KPIs (financial & other) to the end of the product lifecycle. You will develop an innovative range of products and services in line with key client branding that meet commercial and service objectives, and will be the driver of product launches in certain categories. You will be responsible for budget management and accountability i.e. cost of goods/margin ratio versus plan, and will work closely with the Commercial Analyst to monitor the performance of each category and individual SKUs to achieve KPIs and take remedial action as required. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with junior retail buying experience who is looking to develop their career. Ideally you will have some experience in buying, merchandising or category management gained from working for a large retail/wholesale business. It is essential that you have excellent numerical and analytical skills in order to be able to interpret and utilise data. You will have a clear understanding of the commercial aspects of this role and an ability to interpret the detail to support achievement of wider objectives. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who will be confident in building relationships with key suppliers and the client. Due to the multi-national basis of the business, you will need to develop an understanding of European customer needs. You will demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for this role and be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
