A large organisation going through a demonstrable technology refresh is currently looking for a talented Solutions Architect with good all round experience having delivered complex solutions to major IT/business transformations, data migrations, SOA etc. The role will see you working closely with the technical teams so it is important that you are still close to technology with experience of the software development lifecycle, architecting applications and database solutions with general experience of architecture governance including TOGAF etc. This should be coupled with a broader understanding of IT strategy, stakeholder management and a sound knowledge of IT infrastructure with the experience to architect solutions focused around applications and middleware. In this instance we are looking at an oracle, .net SOA set up so experience architecting an Oracle SOA would be seen as highly desirable. The successful candidate will also have the ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills, simplifying complex technical messages, liaising closing with both technical and business colleagues to ensure the effective solution is delivered. To reiterate, we are looking for a strong Solutions Architect who understands how the applications and middleware will sit with the infrastructure stack with the ability to put together a high level design for an SOA focused oracle/.net environment.
