We are seeking three (3) experienced developers to work with our Columbus, Ohio area client’s Web Systems Development team, on a conversion project.    Our client is currently operating in an environment with limited to moderate automated functionality and data access.  Many business processes have manual or system (e.g., Excel, Access, etc.) workarounds.  Multiple applications are used to support single processes.  Lack of data, when and where needed, lack of integration between existing legacy applications and implementation of business process change regardless of application support drive many of the workarounds.  A portion of correspondence is manually generated and custom letter databases exist throughout the Enterprise.  Multiple processes utilize the same workarounds.    This initiative, will replace several legacy systems with a claims, policy and billing COTS software solution known as Powersuite.  These legacy systems include:   1. Claims processing – Version 3 2. Claims processing – Imaging 3. Policy Management and Billing – WCIS   The successful candidate will be working with a variety of technologies and service offerings on our client’s web and application servers. She/He will be working with a collaborative team of web developers, tasked to create and support all web offerings on our client’s external and internal web sites.   The candidate must have proven expertise in the development and modification of web application systems, and in .NET Web Services. He/She will work with a team lead on all projects, and provide a status daily in stand-up team meetings with manager. The candidate will be asked to utilize a number of database environments from SQL Server to Oracle to DB2.  He/She should be a good problem solver, as they will be tasked to work on Production trouble tickets on a tri-monthly basis, as well as keep up with their project workload.     Required Experience   •ASP, ASP.Net, VB.Net (3 Years) •MS.Net Frameworks 2.0, 3.5, 4.0 (3 Years) •MS .Net Web Services (SOAP/WSDL protocols, ASMX) (3 Years) •RDBMS (i.e., Oracle, DB2, SQL Server) (3 Years) •Javascript (3 Years) •Team Foundation Server (2 Years) •LINQ (2 Years) •AJAX (3 Years) •JQuery (2 Years) •ADO.NET (2 Years)   Additional Skill/Knowledge/Experience advantageous to this placement:   •Knowledge of insurance systems. •Experience developing services or developing applications built with services oriented architecture (SOA). •Skill in the use of organizational tools & methods (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, VISIO, Clarity). •Ability to quickly adapt to changes, enhancements, and new technologies, assignment responsibilities.
