Responsibilities Qualified individuals will be able to demonstrate past contribution in all stages of SDLC from conception and design through to delivery. Solid technical knowledge and proven software engineering skills in advanced programming languages are a must. Candidate must be capable and comfortable operating in a team environment and as an individual. Candidate should be a self-starter and motivated individual who is able to work with minimal guidance and can also provide guidance to junior team members. Ability and desire to learn new technologies and concepts are a must. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a varying degree of technical content are required, and should be comfortable regularly interacting with cross functional teams and various levels of management. Qualifications Strong understanding and experience in development activities for all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Strong understanding and experience with software engineering concepts and development best practices. - Solid understanding of object oriented design and development techniques. - Understanding and experience in service oriented architecture designs (SOA). - Advanced knowledge and experience building back-end applications and services in Core Java and the Spring Framework. - Experience with RDBMS technologies such as Hibernate a plus. - Knowledge and experience with Oracle databases. - Experience in writing complex SQL, PL/SQL queries and database profiling techniques using SQL - Knowledge of database design and schema development a plus. - Experience in developing and implementing unit tests. - Experience with code source control systems, such as SVN (subversion) and/or Clear Case. - Experience with scripting languages a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Required Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in IT or Computer Science/Engineering - Minimum 7 years experience in software engineering - Experience with agile development methodology a plus - Experience with Tibco technologies, including Tibco EMS, Business Works, Business Events, BPM, and/or Spotfire, a plus - Experience with XML technologies such as XSLT and XPath a plus Compensation and Benefits Alliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).
