Essential Functions: * Provide technical support and for application system management * Focus on overall application systems management architecture, including all products and processes in the enterprise * Design and implement support methodologies based on ITIL standards to provide a highly performing and available systems environment * Provide lead engineering for application monitoring and support * Handle design, installation, upgrade, and maintenance on all applications within the environment * Interact and collaborate with other senior technical engineers to provide a highly available environment to VCPI clients across North America * Participate in architecture, planning, and support of the application hosting environments * Develop and oversee the implementation of 3rd party vendor applications to limit planned and unplanned outage windows and provide value added client support services * Participate in Disaster Recovery planning as it pertains to system environments * Provide VCPI Management with recommendations for the current IT infrastructure and the addition of new technology * Contribute expertise as an active member of Production Services and the Engineering Team Application Engineer Qualifications: * Overall 5-8 years of IT experience * Experience with Microsoft Windows, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, MS Exchange, Citrix, MS Active Directory, Symantec NetBackup, HP hardware including class blade systems, and Print Services * Experience with Windows Systems management and solution engineering * Systems and applications monitoring and systems patch deployment experience
