JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER PURPOSE OF JOB: To supply workshop with fabrication drawings. Supply offshore related drawings RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure that drawings are issued to workshop/offshore supervisors SUPERVISORY DUTIES: None MAIN DUTIES: � Produce fabrication drawings utilising Autocad � Development of Design Layout Drawings � Checking of Fabrication Drawings � Inter-Discipline checks � Development of Bills of Materials (BOM�s) and liaising with Material Dept. � Production of spreadsheets for drawing registers etc. � Issue drawings in accordance with company procedures and update registers � Production of templates for the plate profiler � Preparation of work method statements � Offshore/onshore surveys, when required. � Assist in maintenance of the departmental Technical library and archives Report to the Drawing Office Manager and carry out other duities as required. PERSON SPECIFICATION MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three years draughting experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ONC Engineering or equivalent. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Ability to work individually or as part of a team ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE: Previous experience within the Oil & Gas Industry ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS: HNC/HND Engineering ELEMENTS OF COMPETENCE: Demonstrate competency in the use of AUTOCAD
