Materials Planner
JOB ROLE: · As part of a team, the Materials Planner must ensure supply and review demand of all packaging and raw materials required for production and third party produced packs to maintain agreed stock levels · Be part of a team ensuring the correct supplier relationship management (SRM): which involves leading/ coordinating business review meetings (BRM); supporting suppliers, internal customers and key stakeholders · Materials Planner must develop/maintain key internal processes required to fulfil team aim of ensuring supply of all MRP items RESPONSIBILITIES: · Process and administrate purchase orders on Oracle R12 (Apps); follow up with suppliers via email or phone to confirm supply · Problem-solve any supply issues and escalate/cascade any potential stock outs to internal customers · Review weekly stock levels of UK third party produced packs, and communicate where agreed to the relevant suppliers · Request and review third parties’ bulk and barcode label requirements and coordinate despatch of materials with internal departments · Process and administrate packing batches for third parties on Oracle R12 (Apps); ensure that these are received by the third parties. · As part of a team extract and analyse demand data and follow up any actions; monthly for raw materials, UK third party produced packs, UK printed packaging and all other packaging materials from the Rhythm planning tool; weekly for export printed packaging and third party produced packs from SSRS reports and Excel spreadsheets; ad hoc for other items required by production from Ibuy and daily stock monitored items · Update and issue monthly production schedules for key suppliers · Lead and participate in business review meetings (BRM) with suppliers; ascertain required participants, compile agenda, issue minutes, coordinate internal meetings and arrange for transport/accommodation for site visits · Ensure agreed actions are followed up from BRM minutes · Collect and analyse data for SRM measures e.g. OTIF reporting · In collaboration with a wider cross-functional team agree SRM tactics · Lead/participate in regular and ad hoc internal meetings, projects, process improvements and communications · Lead/participate in weekly teleconferences with key suppliers and ensure minutes are issued and actions followed-up · Create and analyse demand/forecast data and present key findings, impacts and proposals · Be the main point of contact for internal colleagues and suppliers · As part of a team, review packaging items going through an edition/part change. Lead communication with Packaging Artwork team to release updated master packaging documents (MPD) · As part of a team, review and approve MPDs on in-house document control system · Ensure all Oracle R12 processes required by the team for supply of goods are robust through SSRS reporting and timely housekeeping of the system. · Identify any stock which due to expiry or superseded edition needs to be stock written off (SWO); initiate internal process for stock to be removed · Initiate requests to Servicedesk (I.T. support) where system fixes or new SSRS reports are required. Carry out any required user acceptance testing · Maintain team’s business operating procedures (BOP) · Maintain team’s databases
