CERN is currently looking for a Video Editor Functions * As video editor in the Communication Group, you will: * Film and edit video clips of CERN activities and events (video news, video explainer, interviews, etc.). * Archive footage and videos on CERN data bases. * Maintain audio-visual equipment and keep up to date with technological developments. * Provide audiovisual support for special events at CERN. Qualification required Higher (post-secondary) technical certificate/diploma in the field of audio-visual techniques, or equivalent. Experience and competencies The experience required for this post is: * Initial experience in the audio-video field, including live events support and editing. * Experience with social media, in particular Youtube. * Experience with multi-camera mixing and/or video journalism would be an advantage. The technical competencies required for this post are: * Conference and event organisation: - Linear and non-linear video editing. - Working with audio-visual equipment (including video players, recorders, cameras). - Video news editing. * Use of office software packages in the area of video editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Avid) and video design (e.g. After effect, Motion, Color, Da Vinci Resolve).
