NC Programmer
Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for an NC Programmer for a long term 12 month project opportunity in the 290 & W. Little York area. This is a manufacturing company for wellheads, drilling systems, Subsea Trees, Manifolds, and Connection Systems. This group provides the execution of a project, development program and bid phase of a project Floating Production Systems. These products include tendon connectors, drilling and production riser components and tensioners. NC Programmer Job Description QUALIFICATIONS: · High School graduate with a minimum of ten years manufacturing experience and 3+ years programming experience. · Extensive vertical/horizontal lathe or horizontal bar mill or mill-turn experience. · Minimum 3 years experience with interpretation of engineering drawings/ specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Major Position Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Leader, the Programmer, is responsible to perform all functions necessary to prepare, review, and release NC programs from Pro-E engineering models and drawings. · Specific responsibilities are: · Obtain documentation, evaluate machine and work piece set-up, and select optimum tooling and efficient machining processes. · Generate programs for Dories Scharmann Vertical Turn Centers and Ecocut Bar Mills, G&L bar mills or WFL mill turns with Siemens 840D controls as required. · Maintain and troubleshoot NC programs. · Improve and update NC programs. · Advise Manufacturing Engineering of process changes. · Create, revise and maintain revision levels of associated AutoTAS toolkits and supporting electronic files. · Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy in programming · functions and deliver NC programs per Cell's schedule · Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety and environmental regulations. · Perform other related duties as assigned or indicated by responsibilities or management. DESIRED: · BS or associates degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or similar field preferred with a minimum of three years programming experience. · Experience manufacturing Oil field related equipment a plus. · Unigraphics NX-6(or greater) programming experience preferred, would consider Pro-NC programming experience in lieu of Unigraphics programming experience. · Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal. · Knowledge of drafting and interactive computer operations.
