Solidworks experience is a pre-requisite. Solidworks designer with good FEA (Cosmos), optics systems (mechanical) and solid mechanics (i.e., strength of materials/machine design calcs) experience. General Description: Design Engineering creates opto-mechanical designs of optics and supporting structures and mechanisms to meet product specifications. Responsibilities include: - generation mechanical models and drawings based on customer requirements, system and optical engineering input, and manufacturing requirements; - maintenance of product and assembly models and drawings; - generation and maintenance of manufacturing and test tooling models and drawings; - engineering documentation management (ECN Process). Required Skills/Experience: Candidates must be proficient in SolidWorks design software. Knowledge of optics and opto-mechanics is a plus.
