Site Controller
SOFT's client located in Lynnwood, WA is looking for a Site Controller for a contract assignment. Duties: Establishes, directs, and coordinates and administers a plan for the control of financial operations. Responsibilities include directing the accounting function, maintaining fiscal records, establishing and maintaining budgetary controls and procedures, and preparing financial reports. The principal financial adviser for a single small plant or site. Responsible for general accounting, cost accounting, and budgeting. Provides financial planning and control services, including analyzing financial results, applying accepted accounting methods, controlling to budgets, and generating reports on plant or site's financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and future operations. Creates and administers a plan for the control of plant/ site financial operations. Provides management with financial analyses for timely and effective decision making; provides data for and assists in establishing economic objectives and policies for the plant/ site. Prepares budgets and financial forecasts. Prepares necessary schedules and reports for government agencies. Arranges audits for accounts; and may propose necessary controls to safeguard the site or division's assets. Assignments are received in task and objective oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates and/or business partners based on general policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Interprets and executes procedures that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies. Accomplishes results as an individual contributor or through limited staff structure with onsite management of subordinates, first level supervisors or exempt specialist employees. Often responsible for managing a staff function. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to complete assignments would normally result in serious delays to assigned projects resulting in considerable expenditure of additional resources. Skills: SAP and HFM experience from an IT systems platform basis. Cost Accounting methodologies and reporting. Must be able to work autonomously while accomplishing tasks linked closely to the group (in Eastern MA). Good communication skills for both within the Finance function and within the cross functional site. Experience base to include intercompany transactions.
