Design complex mechanical systems, sub-systems, and/or piece parts as required to meet customer deliverables. Apply complete design practices and procedures to a broad product portfolio (example: hand held POS, heavy industry and self serve systems) in areas like sheet metal design/fabrication, soft tooling processes (sheet metal stamping / fabrication, tig/mig/spot welding) on system assemblies, enclosure, chassis, cabinets, racks, shelving, ETC. Integrate multiple elements of finished design (such as backplane/interconnect, power distribution, and thermal management) Minimum 6 years design experience in the high tech field. Detailed experience in PRO-E and Solidworks modeling and operation. BSME or equivalent. sheet metal cabinet design, complex assembly modeling, molding and tooling design, high volume product design. Thermal and Structural analysis experience using ANSYS products is preferred.
