We are looking for a freelance blogger to contribute posts to our company blog about indoor air quality. Some topics will be provided, and writers will also be encouraged to come up with their own topic ideas. Research will generally be required. Topic Areas: Indoor Air Treatment Air Purification Air Quality Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) Allergies Asthma Eco-Friendly Ideas Green Living Heating / Air Conditioning All blog posts won't have to be about the exact topic areas listed here; they can be tangentially related. However, please note that posts shouldn't promote activities that contribute to poor air quality or deter readers from using the products we carry. What are we looking for from you? • You have an ability to produce quality, engaging content with creative headlines and snappy titles. • You are able to adapt your writing style to our brand voice. • You are naturally interested in home and garden, green lifestyle, or respiratory health (allergies, asthma, etc.). • You understand the type of content that is ideal for blogs (vs. pure journalism), and this is your specialty. • You have a firm grasp of blogging best-practices. • You LOVE grammar; you involuntarily cringe when you see "your" used in place of "you're." • You have good time-management skills and are able to keep deadlines. • You are available to work during the week. • You are easy to work with and don't mind collaborating on content. What would send your application over the top? • You are an expert or have connections in any of the areas listed above. • You are comfortable seeking out sources and conducting interviews. • You are proficient with Wordpress. • You have a good grasp of best practices for linking. • You understand the importance of photography in blogs, and you are willing to take the time to find (or create) the perfect image for each blog post. This will be a paid, ongoing freelance opportunity for you. You will write directly on our company blog, and you will be paid per article. Rates will be determined based on the quality of content you provide.
