Catia Mechanical Design Engineers Duration - 6 months plus Location - Bedford Sector - Aerospace Pre-request for this requirement is that candidates need to hold a British or EU passport We are currently looking to recruit three contract Catia V5 Mechanical Design Engineers to join a leading aerospace business. The appointed V5 contract design engineers will carry out the following • Responsible for the design and detail modelling of a variety of suite components in order to meet the programme requirements • Cost and weight targets must be managed and met • Design engineers will be expected to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers. • Participate in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction process • The selection and application of materials and processes appropriate to each design element • Ensure the successful integration of each design element with the product as a whole • Follow and contribute to the development of the Best Practice guidelines as laid out in Quality documentation • To check engineering packages • Generate and/or revise specifications • From time to time, Design engineers must be prepared to undertake other tasks as requested by their immediate supervisors. • Participate in the validation of the product (using such methods as prototyping, test, DFMEA The appointed CATIA V5 Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following key requirements for the role - Competent user of the incumbent CAD and data management systems - Competent user of CATIA V5 - A working knowledge of the various methods of manufacture to be employed - An understanding of aircraft architecture with a working knowledge of Boeing, and Airbus requirements - Experience within the Aerospace / Aviation / Aircraft or Automotive Orion Electrotech Ltd acts as both an Employment Business and Employment Agency and complies with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations Act 2003.
