We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. ETL Developer to design, develop, and maintain multiple ETL and database solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded developer to work on an enterprise data warehouse for business intelligence project. This is a long term consulting role in North Austin area. Essential Functions Design, develop and deploy multiple subject-matter ETLs using SSIS in support of enterprise data warehouse for business intelligence systems. Contribute to the business requirements and report specification process through standard database and ETL design patterns. Implement and perform Unit Tests. Implement functional / load / integration tests as needed. Ensure proper package design for scalability, robustness, maintainability, and integration with other frameworks and systems. Deliver software while complying with the full project life cycle methodology. Document solutions and proofs of concept, along with ability to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, EE, CE or other related field. Expert skills in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 data engine with demonstrated knowledge of inoperability, performance and trouble shooting. Strong background building database solutions utilizing T-SQL scripts, stored procedures and user-defined functions. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data warehouse ETL development using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). 3+ years of experience in the design patterns of The Kimball Method including star schemas, snowflakes and dimensional modeling. Excellent understanding of the SSIS framework including audit logging, error handling and extendibility. Experience transforming diverse source systems into a common target data model. Familiarity with Microsoft's Team Foundation System, MDM concepts and SDLC methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of documenting solutions and proofs of concept, along with ability to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvements. Preferred Skills Experience working in a Regulated Environment (Banking, Finance, etc.). Familiarity with Microsoft Solutions Framework. Knowledge of Windows, networking and C# programming language.
