Solution Design and Development The Developer is expected to play a key role in the architectural design of solutions, during both solution design meetings and coding. The Developer is expected to have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to articulate engineering issues and solutions clearly and succinctly. Also, as the problem space involves large data sets, knowledge of the considerations and constraints of dealing with large amounts of data is highly desired. Programming Skills: The Developer will be expected to be highly knowledgeable and experienced in the bolded items below, and preference will be given to those with experience in the non-bolded items: Excel Add-In Creation, specifically interacting with back-end web services Sybase SQL / stored-procedures C# / .Net Unix/Linux Source code control discipline Other Qualifications: 3 to 10 years experience as a professional software developer. Prior experience in the financial services sector is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to participate in requirements-gathering A customer-oriented attitude is important to the success of the Developer and of the team as a whole.
