ROLE: The roles will form part of a multi-skilled Network Team supporting complex Data Centre services.  The successful candidates will perform range of activities focussed on Incident Management, Problem Management, Move, Add, Changes (MACs) and Lifecycle Management across a technology suite including a minimum of three areas of specialisation covering: Cisco products, HP Networking products, Checkpoint Firewall, and other Network related products. Hands-on experience in a large data centre environment is important.   RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities of the position will include: 1)      Assist with the administration and maintenance of the client's data infrastructure. 2)      Assist with the implementation of Network equipment upgrades, relocation and refresh. 3)      Complete Network Move, Add, Changes (MACs). 4)      Perform hardware and system implementations. 5)      Identify/rectify customer incidents and problems. In depth knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management processes and tools is required. 6)      Participate in the handover process of new systems and services into Production. 7)      Perform peer review on other team member's solutions and changes. 8)      Some scheduled after hours work will be required.   SELECTION CRITERIA:   Essential Skill/Experience Requirements 1)      Detailed knowledge of Data Communications Systems with an emphasis on “hands on” experience. 2)      Working knowledge of SSL and associated Certificate Renewal 3)      Excellent knowledge of Layer 3 routing and switching. 4)      Minimum Cisco CCNA required with at least 2 years hands on experience in a large network environment 5)      Configuration, Implementation, Testing and Problem solving skills. 6)      Ability to work with minimal supervision. 7)      Excellent communication skills both written and oral. 8)      Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and time constraints. 9)      Team player, motivated with a strong customer focus. 10) Incredibly important to have 3+ years strong VMware experience and VCP Certification.   Desired Skill/Experience Requirements 1)      ITIL Foundations certification. 2)      Cisco CCNP would be an advantage. 3)      Bluecoat proxy certification. 4)      Experience managing and configuring Checkpoint Firewall Policies. 5)      BigIP F5 and/or Cisco CSS Load Balancing experience.   Other Requirements Must be prepared to work outside normal working hours as team roster and business requirements dictate.
