I am actively looking to fill the contracting position below: Job Title: 7266 Sourcing and Logistics Assistant Job Location: Wilmington, DE 19805 Job Duration: 08/13/2012 - 06/16/2013 Job Description: The Sourcing & Logistics Assistant position is instrumental in supporting the Sourcing transactional work for sites in North America. This position has numerous varied and complex tasks which must be handled efficiently and effectively to ensure that client, supplier, and buyer needs are met and is the primary interface regarding all matters related to inquiries, purchase orders, invoicing, Sourcing documents and any other client service related items in the handling of Sourcing transactional work. This must be accomplished in a way that shows the highest regard for safety and a respectful work environment. Close interaction and integration with various businesses and functions is important to ensure uninterrupted supply in the receipt of goods and services, and ultimately in providing outstanding client, supplier and buyer satisfaction. Some of the key job responsibilities include: Placing and/or negotiating spot orders in various procurement systems in compliance with BRRP. Handling purchase order alterations (based on buyer record) Key interface for suppliers on payment issues Responding to and resolving Webcycles (Supplier Invoicing Issues) Preparing contracts and white paper agreements (primarily within eContracts) Adding items to existing agreements in systems Assembling contract documentation in advance of execution (specs., price list, etc.) Creating service masters for corporate agreements Developing info. records in DSAP Responding to critical supply issues (may include expediting) Identifying and resolving issues Executing blanket orders or outline agreements in various systems Obtaining price quotes from suppliers for placement of purchase orders Obtaining market pricing for a particular commodity or commodity area Approving new supplier set-ups Providing training to new transaction center personnel Reviewing data to provide initial assessment to buyers (e.g. D&B, eAnalysis reports, Accounts Payable Past Due reports) Reviewing Webcycles for trends and taking preventative and corrective action Applying commodity knowledge and criteria to determine where work should be handled Reviewing Buyer Work Requests for completeness and accuracy prior to disseminating to appropriate resources * Serving as the interface between buyers, suppliers and the transaction centers. Assigning numbers and tracking the status of the Buyer Work Requests and providing notification to buyers regarding disposition of work Measuring and monitoring both the quality and timeliness of outgoing and incoming work on Buyer Work Requests Monitoring a sampling of the work (~10%), where systems access is available and where practical Surfacing and addressing additional training opportunities, where gaps exist Drafting suggested changes/additions and reviewing modified documents with the buyers prior to disseminating Please note, this position does not allow for providing sponsorship or subcontracting Requirements Skill Requirements: Candidates must have strong customer service skills, be client focused and possess very strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with the varying tasks and demands in this role. Candidates must possess strong computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes) capability and procurement systems (DSAP, NEXUS, SAP, eZSource) experience. Candidates must possess the ability to listen as well as communicate information in a clear, courteous, concise and logical manner. Good decision making, problem solving and analytical skills are needed as is the initiative and ability to follow through with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills are a necessity to manage the heavy workload in this position. Candidates must be able to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and possess strong time management skills, and have the ability to set priorities and deliver against their yearly COTs. Being a strong team player is essential as this model is core to the overall success of the transaction center. As a key connect between clients, suppliers and buyers, candidates must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and tact. Additional Information: S&L Assistants are held accountable for delivering against established transaction center performance metrics in the areas of productivity, quality and client service skills. S&L Assistants are required to work flexible work hours since the transaction center hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
