Our client, located in Westminster, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The candidate will join a team of engineers working on the maintenance of an electronic health record application for physician practices. The candidate will work in both the server and client side of the application implementing defect corrections and moderately complex refactoring projects. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for analyzing existing code to determine the root cause of an issue and then designing, implementing, and unit testing the identified defect correction or refactoring effort. Additionally, the Senior Software Engineer will be required to work closely with analysts, product management, and quality assurance during the analysis and implementation phases to insure the changes made fully meet the overall product and customer needs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for creating great software in an Agile development environment. The position requires exceptional communication, analytical skills, solid commercial Java server side, and Web 2.0 client development skills. Qualifications: Java / Eclipse skills GWT / GWT RPC or similar Web 2.0 experience CSS, JavaScript, and HTML Spring / Hibernate experience with annotation configuration Proven track record delivering code in a test driven design, continuous integration, and agile SCRUM environment Experience in complex n-tier architectures with DTO, Service, and DAO layers Basic SQL skills 8 or more years of development experience Experience implementing complex enterprise software implementations exercising independent judgment and accountability for these systems Ability to mentor junior and mid level developers and independently design moderately complex systems in support of overall architectural vision provided by architect Desired: JUnit, Selenium, Mockito or other automated testing technologies/tools Static code analysis (Sonar, PMD, Find Bugs) JPA with Hibernate a benefit Linux Oracle PL/SQL
