We are a vendor providing the creation of a SQL database for a large multinational hospitality company. The database will be used for data mining and report creation. Because the company already has a SQL enterprise license agreement, SQL must be used to avoid unnecessary costs. There are 2 data silos (A and B) containing customer and employee information that must be pooled together. Data silo A can be accessed through a preexisting API and silo B is a SQL database that we are planning to access over VPN. A second vendor is responsible for the data mining and report creation. Interacting with this vendor in order to understand the necessary fields and formats will be essential to completing the project.
