Mobile Software engineer | Android Houston, TX Title: Mobile Software engineer | Android Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6 M Essential functions of a Mobile Software Engineer at Client: A Senior Mobile Software Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, documentation, programming, software to ensure product readiness for release and/or client use. Works closely with project managers, QA, Creative, and UX team members to ensure compliance with project needs. Duties/Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for planning, design, implementation and testing for assigned system components of a moderate degree of complexity. Writes product specifications and design documentation for assigned system components. Organizes review and/or release of documentation when required. Implements and executes tests of assigned portion of system components. Initiates communication with members of other departments and other members of development to ensure effective implementation. Performs all duties and responsibilities as required by the Engineering Procedures. Recommends improvements to assigned portion of system components. Expertise required to have: Minimum four years of directly related experience within Android Mobile Applications development Minimum one year of experience of designing and developing mobile and/or web applications required. Good Knowledge and hands on with Mobile Cross platform solutions like IBM Worklight, Titanium by Appcelarator, Phonegap, Jquery Mobilr, etc using HTML5/CSS and Java script level of implementations and understanding. Demonstrable knowledge of at least one current mobile operating system. Minimum 1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Android SDK/NDK, Cocoa, Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Objective-C, C#, iOS SDK, other mobile SDKs Minimum 1 year of experience working with SCRUM or Agile development environment. Preferred background: Has delivered at least 2 products, preferably in an Agile Development team. Strong OOAD experience. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Experience with integrating with other systems through web services. Must be able to translate product requirements into design specifications. Exceptional working knowledge of mobile development environment.
