Position Title: ABAP Developer Location: Media, PA Job Type: Full Time Position Summary: Responsible for the design, coding and testing of new and enhanced functionality within the SAP R/3 environment, including data conversion programs, interfaces, reports, and program developments and extensions, based on functional and technical specifications using ABAP programs. Principal Duties: • Performs complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions for SAP modules • Translates complex Functional Specifications to detail Technical Designs and develops them in ABAP programs. • Develops solutions for complex enhancements using ABAP • Develops unit test plans and provides input into user acceptance test plans as appropriate. • Debugs complex ABAP programming for SAP components EPR, SCM and BI systems • Establishes a performance baseline; Monitor system performance and tune for peak performance • Serves as an expert in technical field of knowledge • Develops support documentation for any modified or develop SAP components. • Follows standard development processes and transport process. • Supports SAP nightly batch processes • Develops project plans and timeline for complex work requests • Researches issues leveraging SAP Notes • Engages the BASIS team to establish the appropriate security model for any new enhancements or changes, expert with the implemented SAP security mode • Researches and implements new technologies to increase productivity and performance • Participates in implementation and testing of SAP SPS upgrades and service pack enhancements • Participates and provides input on the hiring and selection process Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline (e.g., engineering) preferred • 7 years of related work experience including 5+ years of SAP ABAP experience.
