Work as part of a Software Team in Redmond, WA consisting of a PM, Developers, Testers and a Lab Engineer as a Mid-Level Software Test Engineer. This assignment requires advanced knowledge of and experience in Software Testing Principles. In this role you will be needed to migrate a large SharePoint site from the 2007 environment to 2010 and perform Tool Automation to assist in the migration process. This migration will include the transfer of existing sites, content and functionality. Daily Job Responsibilities: Write test specifications, test cases and run test automation scripts. Perform detailed analysis of test results and adjustment of test cases accordingly. Perform some bug prevention or proactive testing through product specification reviews. Requirements: Software Test Engineer (Mid-Level Experience) Qualifications: A passion for testing software in general application, web and SharePoint site development. Advanced knowledge of and experience in Software Testing Principles. Basic Software and Functional Testing experience as pertains to a SDLC process. Demonstrated ability to define and use common terms and concepts for at least one operating system and environment. Ability to read at least one programming language such as: WSH, Java, JS, C#. Working knowledge of personal computer hardware and peripherals. Knowledge of Windows interface guidelines may be needed. Experienced gained by working at the Software Giant in Redmond, WA or one of its other locations in a similar position. Soft Skills: Must be able to perform well in a team environment Must possess excellent communication skills Have an ability to stay within scope and follow company directions Have ability to provide feedback on approaches, methods, and risks Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering -OR- experience with testing through at least one full software product development cycle OR applicable experience required.
