Our end-client is seeking a Junior Quality Software Test Engineer. The Junior Quality Software Test Engineer will assist with the successful completion of software projects by developing and executing software testing components, developing automation solutions throughout the software development life cycle to identify issues within the software under test. The test tools and components developed include, but not limited to: Load and performance test tools Data generators, Simulator tools, Application modelling tools, API/Interface testing tools Application service test tools, Backend job testing tools and automation development. The Junior Quality Software Test Engineer in Test is also actively involved in: Test case development Test results analysis, defect reporting, requirements review, test case review, code review and software architecture review. Jr Engineer for Test Responsibilities: Develop scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators and other programmatic test tools as required to execute tests. Automation development and test solutions development. Create and execute test cases based on test strategies and test plans. Participate in reviews of system architecture, code and design documents. Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. Support test lead to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies. May perform load and performance tests. Job Requirements: Jr Engineer for Test Requirements: Academic experience with programming in either C/C++, Java, C#, Ruby. Core understanding of Object Oriented Design. Good understanding and application of algorithms. Knowledge of SQL and relational database design. Familiarity of core Computer Science technologies. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Jr Engineer for Test Preferred: Experience with the Unix/Linux environment.
