Financial Accounts Assistant
Leading company situated in the city is in search of a Financial Accounts Assistant for Maternity Cover. The objective of the Finance Department is to maintain financial control; keep the financial records of the organisation; produce monthly management accounts; conduct annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning; produce annual statutory accounts together with quarterly and monthly published results and undertake financial planning and strategic assessment. The Department is also responsible for Corporation Tax and VAT planning and submissions. Responsibilities - Generation of month-end clearing fee invoices through the Group Fees system and posting of accounting files to the Sun general ledger -Reconciliation of levies collected on behalf of third parties ready for payment on to exchanges -Generation of intra-month invoices through Group Fees for telecoms, settlement and other recharges -Raising of manual sales invoices as requested by other departments for ad-hoc services -Posting of monthly UK payroll to Sun, and reconciliation to the ADP file. Also reconciliation and payment of pension transfer, PAYE and NI -Posting of fortnightly NY payroll to Sun based on payroll file provided by HR -Posting non-treasury bank transactions to Sun -Central finance contact point for the NY branch to ensure payment of invoices (via wire transfer) and the NY account remains fully funded -Posting of foreign supplier payments into Sun -Processing of intercompany charges and invoices and monthly reconciliations -Some ad-hoc BACS payments as requested and as cover for the Accounts Payable team -Central contact point for Amex for staff with corporate cards Skills - Experience of work in a similar role - Knowledge of Sun accounts an advantage - Proficient use of Microsoft Office - Well organised and able to multi-task *This is a maternity cover position
