We are looking for a candidate will be responsible for installation and configuration of all storage and backup systems in our clients enterprise data centers. Sr. Storage Engineer will also work with corporation application and infrastructure teams in architecting new solutions. The candidate must have experience with enterprise storage arrays and backup systems, possess strong communication skills, and have the desire to work in a fast paced environment. Other duties will include: * Plan and develop long term strategic goals for storage systems in conjunction with other enterprise infrastructure and business application teams. * Implement and maintain storage systems that follow industry best practices to meet corporate objectives. * Monitor all storage systems for hardware, software, and performance problems. Troubleshoot, test, and tune all storage systems for high availability and optimal performance. * Coordinate with application and enterprise systems to ensure all systems are backed up as requested, scheduled appropriately and reported as desired. * Will assist with the deployment of servers and have knowledge of the deployment process. Additional Job Info: * Experience with enterprise class storage and backup systems required, EMC and Commvault desired. * Strong systems engineering skills with an emphasis on enterprise scale architecture. * 3 - 5 years experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of storage arrays. Experience should include support of EMC, HP, NetApp or IBM enterprise class and tier two systems. * Experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as EMC Control Center, Storage Scope and work load analyzer. * Experience with Windows and UNIX SAN integration. * In depth understanding of SCSI and FC protocols. * Knowledge of Change Management practices. * Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively. * Strong communication and conceptual skills * Proven ability to meet tight deadlines: Energy, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic is a must. * Will be required to provide after hours support on a rotating basis.
