Title : System Engineer (MDM) Terms : 12 month contract/contract to hire Target Compensation : $50-60 Location : Austin, TX Target Start Date : 8/6/2012 Company Size : 10,000 + globally Industry : global payments technology company Responsibilities: - Ensure UCM and DRM code bases are up-to-date and patches applied; - Design solution architecture using UCM and/or DRM for each identified subject area, starting with Codes Tables and Clients; identify best implementation styles; - Perform scalability analysis and offer recommendations for infrastructure build-out given anticipated workloads; - Extend and modify MDM (UCM) data model in alignment with Enterprise Data Model (EDM); - Design and implement data feeds from source systems (import), including mapping from source data model to MDM; - Design and implement data feeds to target systems (export), including mapping to target data model from MDM; - Analyze portal requirements for each identified subject area; - Design and implement portal architecture based on requirements; - Implement mastering rules in UCM (attribute-level) and DRM (hierarchy/relationship rationalization rules); - Implement UCM- and DRM-based data governance workflow; - Implement reporting capabilities; - Perform data analyses and proofs-of-concept. Qualifications: In-depth understanding of - UCM and DRM architecture, implementation styles, functional capabilities, data model, portal capabilities, data governance capabilities; and APIs; - Integration styles (batch, pub/sub), update propagation, data lifecycle and event handling; - Conceptual, logical, and physical data models; - Oracle and DB2 databases; - Understanding of Visa systems and applications a definite plus.
