We require a Progress Analyst/Developer to provide expertise and support to an Irish-based company as they engage in a Legacy system overhaul and related projects. This is a contract opportunity up to six months or longer and will suit a candidate with proven development experience and knowledge of the Progress and OpenEdge environments. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -�Services to support the development and implementation of business solutions for Legacy systems -�Support and assistance on any related systems -�Implement major/minor system enhancements and upgrades -�Work with relevant business representatives to identify Progress related requirements -�Document system changes -�Propose technical solutions and present options/solutions to senior managers -�Technical systems management of solution implementations -�Fulfill all reporting and monitoring requests -�Technical, process and any other related IT services in support of Progress or related upgrades -�Any other project support and other duties as assigned technical operations management Shills Required: -�Minimum of 6 years experience with Progress, Open Edge ABL, Progress Webspeed and 4GL Versions 4 through to 10 -�Development, Programming, Analysis and Support experience -�Ability to provide technical guidance in specific (Progress) areas -�Problem management and troubleshooting -�Ability to act independently and as part of a team -�IT knowledge of other technologies such as PL/SQL, Oracle, Unix, Solaris is preferred -�Good communication skills and able to interact with other Progress specialists, management and team members -�Ability to work and travel in the EU Please contact the listed details if you feel your skills are a match.
