Helpdesk Support
I am looking for 2 1st line support technicians for an immediate start to be based in Royston, Herts. There is one 12 month contract available and one 4 month initial contract. The 1st line support technicians will be outgoing, enthusiastic and committed to providing an excellent level of service to users, the permanent team and the IT manager. The 1st line support main responsibilities include: • Provide effective helpdesk support with a professional level of customer service. • Identify and fix software and hardware faults quickly and efficiently. • Liaise with the infrastructure team and external providers to ensure complex faults are repaired to the required standard. • Build and install new PC's or related hardware to agreed specifications. • Take responsibility for updating and documenting PC hardware configuration. • Take responsibility for ensuring all IT policies including virus protection and effective backup procedures are properly followed. As a professional 1st line support technician you should be able to demonstrate all the necessary skills and experience outlined above. It is important to note the business has no public transport links so to be considered you will need your own transport.
