Marketing Volunteer
Kigali Crafts is searching for new volunteers. Both positions are flexible and can be full time or part time depending upon the candidate’s circumstances. We need a ‘web-design volunteer’ and a ‘marketing volunteer’. As we are looking to create a fresh image for our brand and develop the company we have two projects that need to be completed. We want a new web site that can fit into our new marketing scheme and desired format. We also need a new marketing scheme that is based around the existing logo. The positions are currently short-term based on the time frame that the projects will be completed, but have the potential to develop into long term projects as well. Kigali Crafts is currently re-organising the way it is run and creating long term plans, we therefore need two committed individuals who are quick learners and incredibly enthusiastic. Applicants do not need to have an interest in international development, as we are more interested in fulfilling the job description of the specific internships, however an understanding and awareness of related issues is a benefit. Marketing Volunteer Essential Criteria: 1. Ideal for a student looking to work in marketing or business related career 2. Be able to work independently 3. Inventive and able to communicate with interns about developing ideas 4. Experience in marketing projects and developing concepts 5. Speak and write fluent English 6. Creative, articulate and focused 7. Ability to work within a budget Desired Criteria: 1. Interest in pursuing a career in marketing 2. Have worked on a paper based marketing campaign 3. Worked in a start-up business or SME 4. Travelled within East Africa 5. Work experience within charities based in East Africa 6. Connections with local businesses 7. Ability to use html Job Specification: - Responsible for helping the marketing intern in terms of producing, distributing and up dating paper campaigns - Responsible for helping the events intern to market upcoming events - Will come up with new ways of marketing to our various markets and perhaps new ways of representing the ‘brand’ Application is by CV and covering letter and should be emailed.
