The Client: A leading London trade publisher is looking to hire a well organised Purchasing Controller on a 12 month contract. The role: The key function of this role is to coordinate the paper buying for the company’s production teams. You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring all bespoke paper requirements to tight schedules whilst negotiating a good price. With experience in purchasing, you’ll be able to offer production teams advice on paper, specs, qualities and pricing. You’ll deal with all the administration involved in the paper buying process, monitor stock, carry our paper related projects and assist with the buying of non book print. You: You’re naturally a great negotiator, used to dealing with high costs; you’re likely to come from a sales, stock control, purchasing or printing background. Ideally you’re already in the publishing industry. You pride yourself on your outstanding organisation skills and sharp eye for detail. You are a confident communicator who enjoys liaising with people on all levels and are adept at working well under pressure.
