International Sales Assistant (12 Month FTC)
12 month fixed term contract offering a good salary and company benefits. NB: It is important that the successful person speaks French fluently as they will deal with the French office who do not speak English. Dutch would also be an advantage although not as essential as French. Dealing with Agents in Holland and customers in Scandinavia, Italy, Japan and China. REPORTING TO: Director of International Sales. JOB PURPOSE: To provide a high level of support to the International customers and to the International Sales Department. SPECIFIC JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Order processing, invoicing and customer service for specific international customers 2. To provide administrative support to the International Sales department. GENERAL INTERNATIONAL DEPARTMENT JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Keeping departmental spreadsheets updated including sales statistics. 2. Carry out departmental mail merges to inform customers of key developments. 3. Co-ordinating high stock, clearance and direct order consolidation offers. 4. Assisting with arranging internal meetings with specific international customers. 5. Co-ordination of international distributor conferences, shows and exhibitions (alongside Sales Managers and Marketing). 6. Sending out catalogues, samples and literature. 7. Answer the telephone and dealing with enquiries. 8. General filing, photocopying and binding. 9. Assisting International Sales Managers in preparing for customer meetings. e.g. PowerPoint presentations and sales statistics. Key working relationships: UK Sales, International Sales, Marketing, Design, Finance, Operations, Warehouse, UK customer services team BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 1. An administrator, who is confident in dealing with all types of people at all different levels, including telephone enquiries from international customers and distributors. 2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential. 3. Good grasp and understanding of a sales driven environment. 4. Customer focussed and proactive. 5. Ability to adapt to an environment where there are few people working in a close-knit team, where resources are scarce and a hands-on approach to the business is a pre-requisite for success. 6. Good knowledge of French is essential, and a second European language (preferably Dutch) would be an advantage. 7. Good problem solver. 8. Enjoys data analysis. 9. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage 10. An understanding of Export documentation and Inco terms would be an advantage.
