Job Title: Art Director Job ID: 15095 Location: West Chicago, IL, US Full/Part Time: Regular/Temporary: Regular Line of Business:Epsilon Responsibilities We’re looking for a talented Art Director that can see beyond pictures and point sizes. You will be working on a telco client that faces heavy competition, so you have to bring breakthrough ideas that can engage consumers and elicit a response. Impeccable design sense is a must. But just as important is a strategic mindset. Projects are mostly in print but we often pitch ideas that extend past paper. To be considered for this position, we’ll need to see a solid portfolio full of brilliant ideas. What you’ll be doing: • Concept with Copywriters and Creative Director • Design marketing materials that meet the objectives of the brief • Prepare electronic files from concept to studio handoff • Create mockups when needed • Become an expert on the client brand look and feel • Help solve the client’s marketing problems • Constantly research the latest trends in design and technology and apply them to the job • Take direction from Creative Director and Account Team • Formulate basic layout design or presentation approach, and specify material details, such as style and size of type, photographs, graphics, animation, video and sound. • Review and approve proofs of printed copy and art and copy materials developed by staff members. • Manage own accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements. • Confer with creative, art, copy-writing, or production department heads to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative activities. • Present final layouts to clients for approval. • Confer with clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and techniques. Qualifications • 2-5 years real world experience, Agency experience and Direct Mail experience preferred • Have a great sense of design, but can sometimes write a headline to support a concept • Knows the Adobe CS (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) environment inside and out • Good print production knowledge, digital production knowledge a plus • Detail oriented • Be able to multitask • Have a“whatever it takes”attitude Compensation and Benefits Alliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).
