Durability/Reliability Engineer

Our Client, located in Erie, PA, has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Durability/Reliability Engineer. Job Description: Retrieve failure performance data from defined repositories of assigned components. Filter data and analyze according to provided policies. Document all work according to standard work templates. Summarize data analysis work and present to peers per Technical Review work instructions. Forecast failure rates of assigned components using statistical methods per provided policy. Document and summarize forecasts per policies and standard work templates, and present to approval board. Complete all assigned action items per defined schedule Retrieve failure performance data from defined repositories of assigned components. Filter data and analyze performance compared to predicted forecasts. Document all work according to standard work templates. For assigned components, work with field service and repair points to analyze returned components for removal or failure cause. Provide summary of component removals and failures causes to peers. Support development of needed corrective actions. Candidate Requirements: BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline with 3-5 years hands on work experience Must be proficient in MS Excel and have the ability to pull reports and create custom data management tools as needed Ability to perform analytical calculations and knowledge of reliability statistics Familiar with and able to perform root cause analysis, including initial data analysis (mining), identifying trends (systemic issues), and common cause issues for components. Capable of learning or possessing ability to create and understand reliability analyses, reliability mathematical models, and predictions with updates based on field performance. Able to analyze data using statistical techniques and software tools such as, Minitab, SPSS, ReliaSoft, or Relex. Must be an excellent communicator (dealing with clients and giving presentations); experience with large data sets/analysis Client has implemented the following guidelines: 1. As this is a long-term contract assignment, the client will not assist in any relocation. 2. You must have the correct documentation to work in the United States for any employer 3.
