Data Warehouse App Developer Kansas City, MO Job Description: This request is for an advanced PL/SQL developer with extensive experience with data warehouse development and reporting tools. The developer will be responsible to scope, estimate, design, develop, and test technical solutions required to satisfy business information needs. Development tasks will involve extracting data from transaction systems, transferring of data to the data warehouse server, performing all associated transformations, validations, cleansing and preparing data for load into the data warehouse and/or data marts. This individual will also be responsible for providing production support tasks and subsequent extraction of data to populate data marts, analytic applications, corporate applications, or support end user reporting requirements. Required: o 6+ years of IT work experience and 3-5 years experience in Oracle 9, 10, and 11 SQL development and performance tuning. o 3-5 years experience Unix editor, Shell scripting and PL/SQL development required. o 2-3 years developing in a data warehouse environment. o Need to have an extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts. o Experience supporting a 24/7 production warehouse environment. o Excellent communications skills both verbal and written o Exceptional problem solving skills with strong technical background Desired: o Must understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and be able to follow the process. o Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment. o Fiserv, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, and OBIEE experience is a plus o Mainframe development with Easytrieve and COBOL is a plus. o Financial Industry experience is a plus.
