Connexion Systems & Engineering, a Boston based IT and Engineering Solutions Company immediately seeks individuals with the following skills: Job# 15127 Technical Writer Summary: This position is responsible for designing, creating, and modifying technical documentation for mainframe computer software. Must be able to consistently author technically accurate, grammatically correct content that complies with corporate standards within an established timeframe. Excellent communication skills are required. The ability to quickly master tools such as Microsoft Office, Author-it, acrolinx, and Adobe Acrobat is expected; prior experience with these tools is a plus. Other job duties could include: Install, learn, and work with the product during the development cycle. Thoroughly review and edit own work and other writers' work.. Interview subject matter experts. Research design specifications. Analyze competitors' products. Review and interpret customer issues and requests. Distill all research into information that can be used in project planning. Follow project plans, implement designs, and meet dates for deliverables. Adapt to and implement new procedures, processes, and corporate directives. Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, such as working on a major release and a service pack. Communicate with the project team to resolve problems, obtain information, and ensure timely reviews. Provide project status. Test the product and the procedures. Work closely with other writers. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Technical Writing, English. Typically 2 or more years of experience in Technical Publications.
