Title: Systems Administrator- IBM WebSphere & MQ environment Client: Large Public Company Location: Philadelphia suburbs Duration: 12 months Contract Rate: Max up to $40 per hour W2 Candidates Only Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. May require a bachelor’s degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required Minimum: Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 to 5 years related experience in System Administration supporting IBM WebSphere MQSeries, Windows, and UNIX or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Appropriate technical skills leveraging middleware technologies (IBM WebSphere MQSeries, WebSphere Broker and WebSphere Partner Gateway (i.e., “messaging and data transport”) Knowledge of business practices and processes in Change Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), etc Strong problem solving skills Excellent communications skills (written and verbal) Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred Four (4) years experience providing IBM WebSphere MQ administration (V6.2 and later) 1-3 years experience using IBM Message Broker 1-3 years experience supporting Unix and Windows platforms 1-3 years IBM mainframe experience
