JOB DESCRIPTION: Position: Oracle DBA Location: Reston, VA Duration: 6 Months + Description Database Administrator is responsible for monitoring space usage, starting up and shutting down databases, diagnosing errors, administering distributed databases and developing automated backup procedures. 1. Manage all database objects in a large 24*7 mission critical system. Install, patches, upgrades. 2. Analyze business problems and design and implement databases that meet business requirements and support ongoing application development. 3. Analyze and resolve complex technical problems regarding the integration of object-oriented applications and infrastructure with relational database technology. 4. Monitor databases and perform tuning enhancements to optimize their performance. Develop and maintain utilities to automate problem determination, change implementation, and monitoring activities. 5. Participate as a team-member in data management strategies. Integrate data architecture with appropriate components of the extended enterprise, transaction factories, and the data warehouse. 6. Participate in data-sourcing, import and data validation activities. 7. Provide database change and release management. 8. Coordinate all Oracle system changes with the Operational DBA teams. Requirements/Qualifications: 1. 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA 2. Experience with oracle 10g and 11g 3. Experience in Oracle performance tuning (SQL, database and system) 4. Experience managing Oracle applications 5. Experience in Oracle system management 6. Experience in Oracle Architecture 7. Familiar with large multi-terabyte instance management, including partition management 8. Familiar with OLAP data warehouse designs and concepts 9. Familiar with OLTP and OLAP database modeling 10. Knowledgeable in Oracle PL/SQL ** QUALIFICATION RATINGS ** Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field * Yes Excellent knowledge of one or more of the major DBMS systems * Looking forward for your reply ASAP.
