We are United Community - we create partnerships between businesses and fundraising organizations (schools, churches, charities, etc.). So we contact businesses to invite them to participate in the program -- they pay nothing to join and no monthly fees. They simply offer a rebate to the fundraising organizations the consumers support when they shop at their business. That rebate is whatever the business chooses (a percentage). Businesses love this because: (1) it's exclusive clientele that their competitors don't have - we choose one business in each industry generally (2) they don't waste money on marketing - they only pay when they're receiving business from the United Community members (and they choose what they pay!) (3) it is a complete no-loss situation for them THIS JOB: Simply calling local businesses asking if they'd like to receive this United Community business. If so, asking when they'd be available for us to stop by for 5-10 minutes to talk to them about it. SIMPLEST COLD CALLING JOB EVER. We just don't have the time and manpower to do it.
