They include: custom-engineered curtain wall and window wall, architectural windows, storefront systems, doors, skylights and architectural glass.   Job Responsibilities: 1.       Must pack according to the standardized process as to box quantity and fan fold size, unless otherwise specified by the customer. 2.       Must pack in way that protects all exposed surfaces en route to customer. 3.       Ensures quality in the process including verification of the part, quantities, quality, finish, and the correct length of the metal. 4.       Comply with Company and Health & Safety policies and procedures.   Qualifications   Must be able to operate in a safe manner as working safely is a condition of employment.    Must be a high school graduate or received a State approved/issued GED.    Must be able to maintain departmental production and quality standards.    Teamwork is essential, must be able to work cooperatively with a partner and others.     Must be able to read and write legibly.     Must be able to make simple mathematical calculations and learn to complete a packing report.     Must have the ability to learn to look at die prints and verify part identification.     Verify correct parts by looking at die prints or using the “Get Die” program.     Must have the ability to learn to recognize metal quality as related to finish or metal itself.     Must be able to use a tape measure to 1/16’s to verify correct metal lengths.     Must be able to accurately distinguish shades and entire color spectrum.     Must be able to work overtime or “off shift” work hours as required.     Must be able to perform quality work independently with little supervision.     Must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or lead. Physical Requirements: 1.       Must be able to constantly stand for entire shift with occasional walking. 2.       Must have dexterity, the ability to use both hands for gripping and moving material. 3.       Must be able to constantly lift and carry up to 20# from hip to chest height as a two person lift (shared weight) 4.       Must be able to frequently reach, handle and grasp metal. 5.       Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to100# from hip to chest height as a two person lift (shared weight). 6.       Must be able to occasionally bend & kneel and turn/twist upper body. 7.       Must be able to occasionally push buggies that require 100# of force to be applied.   Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is part of the Oldcastlecareers™ network.
