Our client, an Investment Bank is looking for a Technical Author for a 6 month contract to be based in London. The role focuses on writing online help pages, wiki pages and project documents for FIIT Risk and PnL applications, and offers plenty of scope for the candidate to build up a working knowledge of these systems. Key Deliverable: Produce clear, concise and accurate user documentation Learn about the systems and applications for which documentation is being prepared Document applications, APIs and procedures Publish online help to a webserver Edit technical documents writtent by subject experts Investigate and correct errors in documentation Assist desk teams and other users to locate help information Maintain the quality and consistency of the online help pages Required Skills: Must have previous investment banking experience Educated to degree level Experience of technical authoring/communicating/writer/information designer Familiarity with Robohelp, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio Experience of working on large sized projects Interest in financial markets and systems Knowledge of fixed income products Knowledge of other web publishing technologies such as JavaScript Experience with other web publishing methods such as Dreamweaver Competencies: Excellent writing skills Good attention to detail Pro-active approach to work Strong communication abilities Excellent team working skills Alexander Mann Solutions, a Recruitment Process Outsourcing Company, may in the delivery of some of its services be deemed to operate as an Employment Agency or an Employment Business.
