ECM Business Analyst
The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing business solutions by gathering and analyzing a client's business processes and requirements. Advanced skill level with the Microsoft Office suite of products is required. The selected candidate should be experienced in the use of document management systems (e.g. Documentum, Artesia). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed as this individual will have a significant amount of interaction with the end users. Role Responsibilities: * Lead and participate in requirements gathering sessions with client business and IT personnel * Plan, conduct, document, and direct the analysis of complex business problems and processes * Devise feasible solutions for complex business problems using insight and creativity in evaluating alternatives * Translate business requirements to functional requirements * Develop and implement business process flows * Meet with the business subject matter experts to ensure requirements meet expectations * Facilitate discussions between the various technical groups and Business user groups making teamwork and collaborative skills essential * Assist in testing the application to ensure that it meets all functional requirements (traceability) * Support planning of user acceptance test (UAT), including creation of UAT scripts * Define training approach and assist in the development and delivery of training materials * Assist with the development and review of technical documents Technical Skills: * Working knowledge of data storage and management applications, integration design, configuration and customization * Experience with formal software/project management methodologies * Experience working with process modeling * Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing applications experience a plus * Have hands-on technical experience with document management systems, with some specific experience with and knowledge of Documentum based systems. Knowledge of Documentum Digital Asset Manager product and Artesia is a plus * Must be familiar with and have previous experience working with software development lifecycles * Experience with business process reengineering * Implementation of systems in GxP regulated environments Professional Skills: * Ability to clearly define and create detailed documentation to describe complex business processes to the lowest level * Team building and collaboration skills essential * Excellent Desktop Tools Skills, including advanced level use of MS Office applications, specifically Visio * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are all essential
